Modern Day Revival exists to proclaim the Gospel, help people understand eternal salvation by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ, encourage revival, share biblical resources on prophecy and spiritual warfare, and promote Christian fellowship.

The Bible teaches that demons are real. They are not symbolic, imaginary, or merely psychological. Throughout Scripture, we see Satan and his demons opposing God's work, deceiving people, and bringing people into spiritual bondage.

Jesus Christ demonstrated complete authority over demons during His earthly ministry. He cast them out, healed those who were oppressed, and gave hope to people living in fear and bondage.

"And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease." — Matthew 10:1

According to Bible teacher Derek Prince, demons are persons without bodies. They desperately seek to inhabit a body because only through a body can they express their ungodly lusts.

Spiritual warfare is not about fear or becoming obsessed with demons. It is about understanding what the Bible says, recognizing the reality of spiritual warfare, and knowing that Jesus Christ has all power and authority over every demonic power.

MY TESTIMONY 

For many people, spiritual warfare is simply a biblical topic.

For me, it became personal.

For years I struggled with addiction and sinful habits that I could not overcome. 

Although I believed in God, I remained in bondage.

As I began seeking God more seriously, I discovered Derek Prince's teaching on demons, deliverance, and spiritual warfare. As I continued watching and rewatching his videos, my understanding grew and my faith increased.

There came a moment while watching Derek Prince's deliverance video when I followed along as he instructed, confessing and renouncing my sin. Then Derek commanded the demon to depart in the name of Jesus Christ.

It did.

I physically felt it depart through the backs of my legs.

It was real. It was not fake.

From that moment, the addiction that had controlled my life for years left me.

I know, without any doubt, that Jesus Christ delivered me from a demon. That experience forever changed my understanding of spiritual warfare and the authority believers have over demons in the name of Jesus Christ.

Derek Prince was a born-again Christian exercising the authority Jesus Christ had given him to cast out demons in His name. About a month later, through God's grace, I came to understand the Gospel and placed my faith in Jesus Christ alone for my salvation. I had believed that Jesus existed and understood the Gospel, but I had never truly placed my complete faith and trust in Him alone—not in myself, my works, any religion, the New Age, or anything else.

Just Jesus. And He completely changed my life. I became a born-again Christian.

"Jesus answered and said to him, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.'" — John 3:3

WHAT IS DELIVERANCE? 

Deliverance means to be set free.

Throughout the New Testament, Jesus cast demons out of people and demonstrated His ultimate power and authority over the kingdom of darkness.

Deliverance is the biblical ministry of setting people free from demonic oppression by casting out demons through the authority believers have in the name of Jesus Christ.

Deliverance is not about fear, sensationalism, or allowing demons to dictate the process. It is about seeing people set free through the authority believers have in the name of Jesus Christ to cast out demons. It is also important to understand that certain biblical conditions must be met for deliverance to occur. The videos, books, and other resources recommended on this page provide a solid biblical foundation for studying these subjects. 

Throughout history, and even today, there are those who claim to be "healers" or to possess special powers. The Bible warns us that false teachers also exist. Many capitalize on sensationalism for financial gain while deceiving people. I encourage you to be a diligent student of God's Word and carefully study what the Bible teaches about demons, deliverance, and spiritual warfare. 

Believers have authority in His name, but only Jesus Christ has the power. 

Christians may debate the subject of deliverance, and disagreements will exist. However, I know from my own personal experience that demons are real and that Jesus Christ delivered me from a demon when the biblical conditions for deliverance were met. That experience changed my life forever and led me to study what the Bible teaches about demons, deliverance, and spiritual warfare. 

"And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues." — Mark 16:17

SPIRITUAL WARFARE

The Christian life involves spiritual warfare.

"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." — Ephesians 6:12 

Spiritual warfare is the ongoing battle between God's truth and the forces that oppose Him. Every believer experiences this conflict in different ways throughout life. While demons are real and spiritual attacks can occur, the Bible teaches that spiritual warfare comes from three primary sources: the devil, the world, and our sinful flesh.

Satan seeks to deceive, tempt, accuse, and discourage believers. Jesus described him as "a liar and the father of it" (John 8:44). The devil desires to draw people away from God through lies, temptation, fear, false teaching, and every form of spiritual deception. Christians are called to resist the devil, remain watchful, and stand firm in the faith (James 4:7; 1 Peter 5:8–9).

The world refers to the sinful values, philosophies, and systems that oppose God's truth. Scripture warns believers not to conform to this world but to be transformed by the renewing of their minds (Romans 12:2). Followers of Jesus Christ are called to love God rather than embrace the sinful priorities of the world (1 John 2:15–17).

Even after salvation, believers continue to struggle against the sinful desires of the flesh. The flesh seeks to satisfy selfish passions that are contrary to God's will. Christians are called to walk by the Spirit so they do not fulfill the lusts of the flesh (Galatians 5:16–17). As believers grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit produces spiritual fruit and transforms them to become more like Him.

God has not left believers defenseless. He calls Christians to put on the whole armor of God, stand against the schemes of the devil, remain grounded in His Word, pray continually, and trust in His strength rather than their own.

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—

(Ephesians 6:10–18).

Victory is found through Jesus Christ. Through His death, burial, and resurrection, He defeated sin, Satan, and death.

A FINAL THOUGHT 

The Bible teaches that demons are real.

Spiritual warfare is real.

Deliverance is real.

Jesus Christ has all power and authority over every demon and every power of darkness. Every born-again believer has authority to cast out demons in the name of Jesus Christ.
