You were created to know God. (Genesis 1:26–27)
But something has gone wrong.
We live in a world filled with confusion, sin, emptiness, and separation from God. Even when people seem to have everything, many still know deep down that something is missing.
That’s because God has revealed Himself to all. (Romans 1:19–20)
Revival is not merely an event, a movement, a trend, or an emotional experience.
Revival is a return to God.
It is when truth is proclaimed, sin is exposed, hearts are convicted, and people turn to Jesus Christ in faith.
Revival begins when a person sees their need for God, recognizes the seriousness of sin, and responds to the truth of the Gospel.
Before revival is ever seen in a church, a city, or a nation, it begins in the heart of a person.
It begins when someone stops resisting the truth, stops trusting in themselves, and turns to God.
Real revival is personal before it ever becomes public.
It begins with repentance, humility, faith, and a return to the Lord.
The Bible says:
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
(Romans 3:23)
Sin separates people from God.
“For the wages of sin is death…”
(Romans 6:23)
This is why revival is needed.
People do not need more religion, more traditions, or more outward appearances. They need the truth. They need forgiveness. They need salvation. They need Jesus Christ.
From the beginning, God was showing that sin requires a blood sacrifice.
“For the life of the flesh is in the blood… it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.”
(Leviticus 17:11)
In the Old Testament, animal sacrifices pointed forward to something greater—but those sacrifices could never take away sin permanently. (Hebrews 10:11)
They pointed to Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ came into the world as the promised Messiah (Isaiah 9:6–7) and the Lamb of God (John 1:29).
He lived a sinless life (1 Peter 2:22) and went to the cross to shed His blood for our sins.
“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins…”
(Ephesians 1:7)
He died, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the scriptures. (1 Corinthians 15:1–4)
Unlike the sacrifices of old, His sacrifice was once and for all. (Hebrews 10:12)
You cannot earn salvation.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith… not of works…”
(Ephesians 2:8–9)
Salvation is not by human effort, good works, or religious rituals.
It is God’s gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ.
God shows that salvation is through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ:
“Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood…”
(Romans 3:25)
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved…”
(Acts 16:31)
The Gospel is clearly defined:
“...Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”
(1 Corinthians 15:1–4)
This is the Gospel you must believe.
If you fully understand and believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ, recognize that you are a sinner in need of a Savior, and place your faith in Jesus Christ and His precious blood, then the Bible says you are saved.
Revival begins with truth.
It begins when a person humbles themselves before God, stops trusting in self, and places their faith in Jesus Christ.
God is still saving souls.
God is still changing lives.
God is still calling people to return to Him.
